give me five

It wasn’t so long ago that my nephew’s hand was about the size of the little hand shown here. However the big hand is my nephew’s hand, and the little one belongs to the older of his two nephews – who at 2 months old is giving his uncle the first of many high-fives. Note how the little guy’s smallest finger is not much longer than the last joint on my nephew’s smallest finger. Awww….

Time moves on. In fact it does not just march, it races…. and that little hand is no longer attached to a baby but to an active, growing little boy – and is now  much bigger in size. How precious and fleeting each moment is on this incredible journey of life. 

So this one is dedicated to my favourite nephew in honour of his birthday today, and is posted with hugs and blessings.

      yes, those little hands and feet. sometimes hard to capture when the little people they are attached to are all wiggly and squirmy, but i agree with you. they are some of my favourite clicks, too. 🙂
